Easing into Summer: hello from Sassy Greetings
Share
I hope you’re soaking up every ounce of July—the bright mornings, the long sunsets, the slow walks with your dog.
We’re officially in “summer vacation mode,” the season that forces us to slow down. For me, that means noticing the tiny things I usually rush past and letting myself sit in the backyard just to listen to the birds.
Lately, I’ve been leaning even more into my role as a designer‑founder—building connection through typography, humour, and the small rituals that make us feel human.
So July felt like the right moment to talk about something that’s been quietly shaping my creative life: journaling.
JOURNALS
Here’s the truth: I didn’t start making journals to sell them. I started because I use them — constantly.
Not for perfect handwriting or deep revelations. More like:
- capturing a moment I don’t want to forget
- scribbling an idea that might become a card
- writing a real to‑do list instead of chasing scraps of paper
- getting something out of my system by writing it down
It’s the same energy as sending a card — a tiny act of connection — except this one is with myself.
So this month, I’m sharing the journals I’ve designed as an invitation to make a little space for yourself. If you want something beautiful, simple, and a little sassy to write in, I’ve got you.
And if not, grab whatever notebook you have. The magic isn’t in the product — it’s in the noticing.

Connection Corner
This July, why don't you try writing down one tiny joy from each day. One or two sentences is all you need.
By the end of the month, you’ll have a little archive of joy you didn’t even realize you were collecting. If you try it, I’d genuinely love to hear how it felt. |
COMMUNITYFood for thought: maybe you've been wanting to journal for a while. But you don't know where to start. May I suggest you check out my friend Parrish Wilson? She offers a mini writing workshop to get you started: https://parrishwilson.com/thepowerofwriting/

That's it for July. I hope you head outside, enjoy the sun, and make the most of summer.
